ye chehra hai gul hai ye gulshan hai kya hai

kaun si duniya mein hun kis ki nigahbani mein hun

jaane kis KHwab-e-pareshan ka hai chakkar sara

ye to achchha hai ki dukh-dard sunane lag jao

dasht-o-sahra ki kahan ab zindagani chahiye

ab ye bachche nahin bahlawe mein aane wale

lakiron ko miTana chahta hun

imarat ka koi nashsha nahin tha

ye jo har lamha meri sans hai aati jati

manzar-e-chashm jo pur-ab hua jata hai

khelna dil ko paDa har lamha mauj-e-ab se

phir koi taswir ubhri KHwab mein
