دشت کی دھوپ ہے جنگل کی گھنی راتیں ہیں
دشت کی دھوپ ہے جنگل کی گھنی راتیں ہیں
اس کہانی میں بہر حال کئی باتیں ہیں
گو ترے ساتھ مرا وقت گزر جاتا ہے
شہر میں اور بھی لوگوں سے ملاقاتیں ہیں
جتنے اشعار ہیں ان سب پہ تمہارا حق ہے
جتنی نظمیں ہیں مری نیند کی سوغاتیں ہیں
کیا کہانی کو اسی موڑ پہ رکنا ہوگا
روشنی ہے نہ سمندر ہے نہ برساتیں ہیں
