لکھنے بیٹھوں تو اک کتاب ہوں میں
میری بربادیوں پہ مت جاؤ
ان نگاہوں کا انتخاب ہوں میں
خواب تھا یا شباب تھا میرا
دو سوالوں کا اک جواب ہوں میں
مدرسہ میرا میری ذات میں ہے
خود معلم ہوں خود کتاب ہوں میں
جی رہا ہوں اس آب و تاب کے ساتھ
کیسے آسودۂ شباب ہوں میں
