tumhārā kyā hai tumheñ sirf gyaan denā hai
hamārī socho hameñ imtihān denā hai
unhoñ ne apne mutābiq sazā sunā dī hai
hameñ sazā ke mutābiq bayān denā hai
ye be-zabānoñ kī mahfil hai dost yaad rahe
yahāñ ḳhamoshī kā matlab zabān denā hai
