qad o gesū lab-o-ruḳhsār ke afsāne chale

aaj mahfil meñ tire naam pe paimāne chale

abhī tū ne dil-e-shorīda ko dekhā kyā hai

mauj meñ aa.e to tūfānoñ se Takrāne chale

dekheñ ab rahtā hai kis kis kā garebāñ sābit

chāk-e-dil le ke tirī bazm se dīvāne chale

phir kisī jashn-e-charāġhāñ kā gumāñ hai shāyad

aaj har samt se pur-soḳhta parvāne chale

ye masīhā.ī bhī ik turfa-tamāshā hai ki jab

dam ulaT jaa.e to vo zaḳhmoñ ko sahlāne chale

jis ne uljhāyā hai kitne hī diloñ ko yaaro

ham bhī us zulf-e-girah-gīr ko suljhāne chale

ye masihai bhi ek turfa-tamasha hai ki jab

dam ulaT jae to wo zaKHmon ko sahlane chale

jis ne uljhaya hai kitne hi dilon ko yaro

hum bhi us zulf-e-girah-gir ko suljhane chale
