na sakat hai zabt-e-gham ki na majal-e-ashk-bari

ishq ke marahil mein wo bhi waqt aata hai

dard baDhta gaya jitne darman kiye pyas baDhti gai jitne aansu piye

thi siyahiyon ka maskan meri zindagi ki wadi

haqir KHak ke zarre the aasman hue

dil pe wo waqt bhi kis darja giran hota hai

gham-e-behad mein kis ko zabt ka maqdur hota hai

lauTe kuchh is tarah teri jalwa-sara se hum
