na koi dost dushman ho sharik-dard-o-gham mera

unhen ye fikr hai har dam nai tarz-e-jafa kya hai

fana nahin hai mohabbat ke rang-o-bu ke liye

meri be-KHudi hai wo be-KHudi ki KHudi ka wahm-o-guman nahin

kuchh aisa pas-e-ghairat uTh gaya is ahd-e-pur-fan mein

nae jhagDe nirali kawishen ijad karte hain

dard-e-dil pas-e-wafa jazba-e-iman hona

agar dard-e-mohabbat se na insan aashna hota

fana ka hosh aana zindagi ka dard-e-sar jaana

hum sochte hain raat mein taron ko dekh kar

zaban ko band karen ya mujhe asir karen
