chaarasazon ki chaara-sazi se

maine har bar tujhse milte waqt

hai mohabbat hayat ki lazzat

meri aql-o-hosh ki sab haalaten

chand ki pighli hui chandi mein

jo haqiqat hai us haqiqat se

jo ranai nigahon ke liye firdaus-e-jalwa hai

har tanz kiya jae har ek tana diya jae

pas rah kar judai ki tujhse

ye tere KHat teri KHushbu ye tere KHwab-o-KHayal

ishq samjhe the jis ko wo shayad

sal-ha-sal aur ek lamha

kaun sud-o-ziyan ki duniya mein

kya bataun ki sah raha hun main

uske aur apne darmiyan mein ab

wo kasi din na aa sake par use

meri jab bhi nazar paDti hai tujh par

pasine se mere ab to ye rumal

sar mein takmil ka tha ek sauda

ye to baDhti hi chali jati hai miad-e-sitam
