aabaadiyon mein dasht ka manzar bhi aaega

na mandir mein sanam hote na masjid mein KHuda hota

apni tadbir na taqdir pe rona aaya

abhi saz-e-dil mein tarane bahut hain

dida-e-ashk-bar le ke chale

kyun mili thi hayat yaad karo

Thokaren khaiye patthar bhi uThate chaliye

zanjir-e-junun kuchh aur khanak hum raqs-e-tamanna dekhenge

KHair mangi jo aashiyane ki

hum doston ke lutf-o-karam dekhte rahe

aag ek aur laga denge hamare aansu

hae kaisi wo sham hoti hai

KHud miT ke mohabbat ki taswir banai hai

duniya kahin jo banti hai miTti zarur hai

ye baaten aaj ki kal jis kitab mein likhna

jahan tak yaad-e-yar aati rahegi

uljhe to sab nasheb-o-faraaz-e-hayat mein

mujhko muaf kijiye rind-e-KHarab jaan ke

bahut hi dil-nashin aawaz-e-pa thi

pahle to Dar laga mujhe KHud apni chap se

sab kuchh sar-e-bazar jahan chhoD gaya hai
