hairaton ke silsile soz-e-nihan tak aa gae

tazad-e-jazbaat mein ye nazuk maqam aaya to kya karoge

wo kab aaen KHuda jaane sitaro tum to so jao

tum na mano magar haqiqat hai

ab ye aalam hai ki gham ki bhi KHabar hoti nahin

wo har maqam se pahle wo har maqam ke baad

hadse zist ki tauqir baDha dete hain

honTon pe hansi aankh mein taron ki laDi hai

muddaton humne gham sambhaale hain

surahi ka bharam khulta na meri tishnagi hoti

tumhein jo mere gham-e-dil se aagahi ho jae

gham chheDta hai saz-e-rag-e-jaan kabhi kabhi

din chhupa aur gham ke sae Dhale

dil-e-diwana arz-e-haal par mail to kya hoga

ashkon mein husn-e-dost dikhati hai chandni

hasti ko apni shola-ba-daman karenge hum

hawadis ham-safar apne talatum ham-inan apna

aalam-e-soz-e-tamanna be-karan karte chalo

ba-qadr-e-josh-e-junun tar tar bhi na kiya

jahan-e-arzu aawaz hi aawaz hota hai

talab ki aag kisi shoala-ru se raushan hai
