Thahri Thahri si tabiat mein rawani aai
Thahrī Thahrī sī tabī.at meñ ravānī aa.ī
aaj phir yaad mohabbat kī kahānī aa.ī
aaj phir niiñd ko āñkhoñ se bichhaḌte dekhā
aaj phir yaad koī choT purānī aa.ī
muddatoñ ba.ad chalā un pe hamārā jaadū
muddatoñ ba.ad hameñ baat banānī aa.ī
muddatoñ ba.ad pashemāñ huā dariyā ham se
muddatoñ ba.ad hameñ pyaas chhupānī aa.ī
muddatoñ ba.ad khulī vus.at-e-sahrā ham par
muddatoñ ba.ad hameñ ḳhaak uḌānī aa.ī
muddatoñ ba.ad mayassar huā maañ kā āñchal
muddatoñ ba.ad hameñ niiñd suhānī aa.ī
itnī āsānī se miltī nahīñ fan kī daulat
Dhal ga.ī umr to ġhazloñ pe javānī aa.ī

muddaton baad khuli wusat-e-sahra hum par
muddaton baad hamein KHak uDani aai
muddaton baad mayassar hua man ka aanchal
muddaton baad hamein nind suhani aai
itni aasani se milti nahin fan ki daulat
Dhal gai umr to ghazlon pe jawani aai
