Simplicity is a way

of life; it is a virtue and also defines a person who practices it. This trait helps a man to retain his natural spirit and keeps him away from all artificialities and unnecessary embellishments. Poetry also celebrates simplicity in different ways as a human quality which may also be a feature even of the lovers. Quite often, it is simplicity that brings two human beings in a natural relationship. You may like to have a look at these verses to appreciate the virtues of simplicity.

is sādgī pe kaun na mar jaa.e ai ḳhudā

laḌte haiñ aur haath meñ talvār bhī nahīñ

Oh God, who would not sacrifice their life for such innocence?

They are fighting with me, yet they do not even hold a sword in their hand.
